close to when the portal window opened, if I remember correctly. He didn't have a signed deal in place with Tulane and then back out of it just before the window closed (there was still the 2nd, spring window back then), which was the main sticking point to this situation. But, I mean unless the player/agent or school admit there was contact prior to the portal, no one really knows for sure. Buuut, we all know for sure that it happens all of the time.
