Sun Belt champion and AAC champion don't "deserve" to make the field because they wouldn't have achieved their record playing Alabama's SEC schedule with their Sun Belt/AAC players. They probably don't think JMU has any chance leaving Eugene with a W. So they will spend as little time talking about the preview for that game so they can spend a lot more time talking about Alabama vs. Oklahoma. SEC vs. SEC, 2 historic blue bloods squaring off, what more could audiences ask for?
