Is it a team thing or an NCAA rule?

My understanding is that if you play 4 or less games and haven't previously used your redshirt you can use it. Can't imagine a coach would/could force a kid to play in game 5 if he didn't want to. That would be disastrous for all involved. ** Edited by HokieBrew4U at 9/15/2025, 11:44:44 PM
