The 2014
game in Blacksburg VT was down 30-0 with about a minute and a half to go. VT went for the TD on 4th down and got a TD pass (about 14 yd, Leal to Ford/1:30 left). Missed the 2 point extra point and lost 30 - 6.
As bad as that final score looked: That was the closest 30 - 6 game I ever saw. Hokies just couldn't quite get off the dime at critical moments. I wanted them to kick and not be shut out by Miami. But got to hand it to Beamer for going for (and getting) the TD.
Was bone cold in Lane that night.
