I know at least one major Hokie donor who lives in Blacksburg.

He has contributed over $2M to athletics over the years, which seems like small potatoes compared to the MSU gift, but it has had a big impact at VT. Another Blacksburg friend I suspect is also giving big $$$$ but it is none of my business to ask him. So there are a few major donors who live in the Burg. There may not be any Hokie billionaires (?) but we have our fair share of big contributors. You are correct that those kind of people want to see the money invested wisely. Seems like the new plan is a big improvement.
