WVU athletics spent about $106M last fiscal year with just under half...

going to football and basketball. The things that have been publicly released and underway are donor/alumni engagement. I can say firsthand that the calls/letters have increased significantly in the last 12 months. Fortunately we have a few big hitters in Ken Kendrick and Pat McAfee. So private donations are certainly a large portion. The other biggest thing has been a reallocation of seating and required donations for both main sports but primarily basketball. The next big thing on the horizon is corporate partnerships via naming rights. You are going to start seeing it on everything. Most recently the basketball arena changed it's name from the WVU Coliseum to the Hope Coliseum where the school receives $2M annually over 10 years from Hope Natural Gas. I feel certain they'll be many more changes as we fight the futile battle against the blue bloods.
