I went to the VT football camp when Elmassion was not even on staff

He was coaching elsewhere but had some relationship with Dooley (this was like 1981 of 1982) and was coaching at the camp. He was coaching DBs, which was the group I was working with. My first thought was this guy is the most intense MF I have ever encountered as a coach, and my HS coach was known to be pretty intense. I tell you what, I learned more in that week than I ever did in any sport. The man can coach. By Friday, I was running bump and run coverage against Herman Moore halfway decently. Oh, there was no covering him, but I at least didn't look foolish. In the offensive periods, Billy Hite coached the RBs. He was the opposite of Elmo. He had us laughing the whole him. Also learned a lot from him.
