Yeah I doubt Brown is better, but I would like him to get some reps

Neither are studs, and will make this season challenging - but Wells at least showed some much needed progress in key areas Still doesn’t have an ounce of touch though, kid can’t seem to comprehend the difference of velocity needed for a 10 yard pass vs 30. Brutal to watch him. But I’m encouraged that he CAN at least throw a nice deep ball, something missing for years - need more of that! Scary thing is Brown isn’t the starter for a reason, so neither is going to be great. Have to ride it out and coach them up as much as possible until a better QB is brought in. But it would be VERY wise to get Brown some live game reps when possible - Wofford seems a logical opportunity to do so, 2nd half.

I can see why they went with Wells. He throws seeds.

We are purposefully keeping him from throwing between the hash marks

He had plenty of touch at Marshall, it was his decision making that was bad
