Did Notre Dame forget the first will be last and the last will be first.

When invited to a grand party sit at the far end of the table in case a more dignified guest needs to sit next to the host. This way you can avoid an awkward situation if the host of the party asks you to move down the table. Rather if you humble yourself and sit far down the table the host of the party may come and surprise you and say my friend please come sit next to me at the head of the table.
