Chesney is a great coach

But we should all understand being an P4 head coach is a complex job, coaching football, managing a staff, recruiting, fundraising. Chesney will have future options. But Virginia Tech needs a P2 coach with proven success at this level. There are to many requirements to the job that Chesney has never had to deal with

The same is true for whomever experienced P2/P4 HC you want VT to hire.**
VTHokie2000 10/19/25 12:21 PM ET
To some degree yes, but you have to extrapolate more
Marooned 10/19/25 04:05 PM ET
I disagree that you will have to extrapolate more because odds are likely
VTHokie2000 10/19/25 04:31 PM ET
I don’t accept your premise
Marooned 10/19/25 04:41 PM ET
That may be true in FY 2029-30, but we are currently not in FY 2029-30.**
VTHokie2000 10/19/25 04:49 PM ET
