Lots of things...

1) Bowen was in over his head and he knew it 2) Program is unstable, and in disarray with coaches being fired, and a totally flipped roster 3) Offensive success in '25 was very unlikely 4) Pry probably gone after this season. 5) He's NEVER going to get another OC job anywhere after this stint. 6) Take his natural coaching position at the national champion OSU Its a no-brainer
