I sat in my seat on the 40 for first quarter ONLY, it was hot, no clouds and I applied 8 oz of SPF 50. I felt like a baked potato. I got up and went into the shade in overhang between the two decks. There hundreds of Hokies and Cardinal watching here. It might not have been 50k the capacity, but it wasn't the 8k that it seemed to have shown on TV. I got to my seat about 10 minutes before KO, and there were many more filing in. I think they preferred the shade at the tailgate. I will admit that on TV it must've looked like a Div III game with a few students and a parent or two. I would recommend other Hokies coming out to a game here. "They say" it was unusual weather for October and it should've been around 70-ish instead of the mid-90's. There are nice restaurants on a closed - California Ave; French, Cuban, Thai, Indian, Pakistani and others. But bring a Credit Card as I will admit, it isn't cheap but it is good. The magret de canard and oysters as the appetizer was very good and you can't go wrong with mouse au chacolat for desert. Good win HOKIES!!!
