Do we know the extent of the injury to Dorn?
Is it a back injury he sustained in the Western Carolina which was three weeks ago?

Back injuries are difficult to project out
You can turn your body just looking somewhere and aggravate a back injury. I suspect they have him doing back friendly exercises in the training room and that he needs to meet certain criteria from day to day to determine whether playing will cause a significant risk of re-injury. Poteat played with a back injury for the better part of 2 years, so I dont think theyre being too aggressive or conservative with him. They'll see where hes at and make a plan from there The great news is that from a production standpoint Gurdak can easily play those minutes. Having Dorn AND Lawal out is not good for long periods of time. Gurdak can show flashes, but he will be susceptible to freshmen things the longer he plays
