As all-in as VCU is for hoops... and as solid as their program has been...
hard to believe they haven't won a NCAA tourney game since 2016.
And now they'll be starting over yet again. You would think sooner or later they'd miss on a coaching hire, but their track record is pretty impressive.

do pretty well in hoops and can probably take some guys that VT can't. Based on your post, I make the general conclusion that VT has more money available for hoops acquisitions than VCU - at least in Lawal's case. There is no reason that we should be as bad as we are.

I have no idea what all in means for VCU. I asked a VCU friend about Lawal going to Tech and he gave me the money hand gesture.
