Basketball players are rated on several different metrics

1) Size and Growth Potential 2) Athleticism 3) Offensive Skills 4) Defensive Skills 5) Basketball IQ and Court Awareness 6) Intangibles - coachability, cultural fit, etc. All players have a mix of these traits. Players that score high across all metrics are 5 stars. Everybody else has a mix of strengths and weaknesses. A good coach like CMY knows he can't recruit perfect players, so he goes after players that have strengths that fit his system.
