We haven't really been on the bubble with Young

We were in a 7/10 game in his second season. A season in which we spent 14 out of 16 weeks ranked in the AP Poll and beat two Top 10 teams and two more Top 25 teams. That isn't a bubble season. No "play-in" game. No 11 seeds. We struggled late due to Covid interruptions, but if it weren't for that, we had an awesome year. Then we won the ACC to auto-qualify in a year we weren't going to make it. (If you have a gripe with the year we smoked UNC in the semis and Duke back to back to win the ACC title in the same postseason that they both made the Final Four, I just can't help you out with that....) Then we were off the bubble last year with all the injury and off court issues affecting our rotation. So....2 years in the tournament with no bubble. 1 year out due to injury issues, no bubble. And, no, I'm not counting year 1, when Buzz left us high and dry and Aluma was redshirting and we had high schoolers Alleyne and Ojiako depended upon for production. And even then, we beat #3 Michigan State in Maui. How's that for a memory. Not too shabby. And zero bubble years. ** Edited by hokieZ71 at 5/4/2023, 1:13:40 PM
