We had Cattoor and Alleyne together for 3 years. And Maddox was with them for two years. That’s a solid core. We added to it with an experienced guard in Storm and a green one in Pedulla. So you keep a core and build around it. And that plan was looking solid after last year. Assuming Alleyne had stayed, we would have a core of him and Cattoor and Pedulla and Maddox. Rice would be this years key addition with everyone else developing in practice. But it got sidetracked when Alleyne left and then Cattoor got hurt, which wiped out our experienced core. Then the Rice injury took out our expected key addition. And Maddox absence just added to the chaos. Our expected core of 4 experienced guards is down to 1.75 (I don’t think Cattoor is fully healthy). And our addition is a freshman who was expected to not play much this year (but who is showing great progress).
