The defender closed out to him but closed out very short, playing the driving lanes, clearly a scouting choice for a 25% 3 pt shooter. Collins hesitated very slightly, but then he just shot the ball in front of the defender. The ball went in...and the defender started closing out much longer from there on out. Helped with driving, helped with spacing. Kept defenders from sitting in Basile and Mutts' laps in the post. It was one shot, but it was huge. It shouldn't be enough to change everyone else's scout, but it's a good start.
