Was at the game last night and noticed 2 things in particular
That was the first MBB game I've attend this season and was able to sit maybe 10 rows behind the VT bench. I'm not a baller, just as you could see on tv, the stadium was not close to full. Apparently Stanford cares about MBB like they do football...
1) After every single time Rech did something poorly, and there were ample examples last night, he looks over at CMY and makes a quick comment about how it wasn't his fault. That time he ran up the court against a set Stanford D, dribbled and jacked up a shot without a single pass and 20 seconds left on the shotclock? That was because his fellow guard didn't cut enough. That time on D where he let his man use his strong hand to blow right by him from the top of the key and get to the rim? That was because he was anticipating a screen that would never come.
2) RBJ really bogs things down. I understand he's not a PG and I understand he shouldn't be asked to be the floor general, but man does he dribble and man is he unafraid of taking any shot. After every offensive set he would lock eyes with CMY who would yell to "pass the ball." He would nod and then do the same thing again the next time on O. If Hammond is out for a while (they didn't announce his injury at the game but he was in a boot and only observing), I think we need a better answer than RBJr or he needs to learn real fast.

"Floor generals" are over rated in many offenses

Unfortunately, CMY's offense requires a "floor general" and that is a good
