I don’t remember anyone thinking he was ready for the NBA as the season

wore on. Clearly he was not. IIRC the sentiment for Neo to the NBA became more that he would still be drafted for his potential. He may have been, for all we know, but he realized he could make more money by staying in college rather than to accept being drafted late or not at all. So we really don’t know if he would have been drafted or not. With the money he’s being paid now he may just play out his college eligibility.
