give me a longer trajectory.

Over a longer period of time, we are about where we have been on average. We are going downward from being a sweet 16 team but was that a part of the trajectory or more of an outlier? Same for the 3rd place finish. Some years things just go right more than others. So. I disagree with any idea of a trajectory with a base point in an outlier year. I could agree with your point if we had a number of years that included at least one turnover of players that had finished from say 4th to 2nd in the ACC. How many times have we finished 3rd of better in the ACC. False trajectory.
