I believe Poteat played PF/C at Rice. Also, hokiesports.com lists him as a

forward for whatever that is worth. Below is a quote from the hokiesports.com article announcing Poteat had transferred from Rice to VT. "A 6-foot-9, 260-pound forward with three years of eligibility remaining, Poteat comes to Blacksburg after competing for two seasons with the Owls."
