Like I told you......

elsewhere, you are entitled to your opinion. Buzz was great and he did exactly what he was hired to do at VT. He is a unique personality and that personality, IMO, was exactly what VT needed at his time of hire. It is also not necessarily wrong to have a tough time getting on board with MY, again IMO. However, I think people have to honestly assess where their hesitancy arises, why it arises and, most importantly, are their realistically better options available. There are certainly higher profile names but, in hiring anyone a realistic assessment of the program strengths/weaknesses/needs/ceiling must be overlayed with the fit of individual candidates to determine what gives the program the greatest probability of success. While VT will likely never be Duke or UNC the recent approach has put VT in a far more competitive position than I believe most would have expected and the same can be said, at least IMO, with respect to the league as a whole.
