Any metrics gurus able to post the differential of Hammond vs Neo at point?

Isn't more about never wanting them on the bench at the same time, so you

Hammond is definitely the more natural PG
radford Hokie 01/05/26 08:16 AM ET
By the eye test it seems to be working
OrlandoHokie 01/04/26 07:03 PM ET
Both Hammond and Neo were on the floor late, our best lineup has them both
soflahokie 01/04/26 02:55 PM ET
Mason Gillis started 63 games for Purdue...
GCHokie34 01/04/26 06:08 PM ET
Yeah. I think we’re in complete agreement here. **
VTBB 01/04/26 03:01 PM ET
I don't understand the fascination some have with who starts the game. Dorn

John Havlicek was the best 6th man ever in the NBA**

Hondo was my favorite player in the early 70's.**

I'm not old enough to remember him as a player.**

Hammond played 27 min yesterday...
GCHokie34 01/04/26 10:08 AM ET
Total mins on the floor is not an end all analysis of the rotations and

That's not what was being discussed...
GCHokie34 01/04/26 04:11 PM ET
That's exactly what was being discussed. You dismissed a post that
King of Hokies 01/04/26 05:31 PM ET
And not a single time was the word rotations mentioned...
GCHokie34 01/04/26 06:00 PM ET
Normally I agree, but not this time, we lost that game in the first 10 min
soflahokie 01/04/26 02:52 PM ET
If youre subbing in Hammond during that first 10 min...
GCHokie34 01/04/26 04:26 PM ET
Sitting Gurdak to start would been my decision based on the matchup
soflahokie 01/04/26 09:06 PM ET
If Johnson were healthy I would agree
GCHokie34 01/04/26 09:18 PM ET
It obviously depends on the matchup. I would definitely start Hammond over
King of Hokies 01/04/26 05:46 PM ET
Schutt's increased minutes are due to Johnson's absence...
GCHokie34 01/04/26 06:02 PM ET
Agree. Almost no coaches don't try to put their best 5 on the floor to

Nah IMO Neo wasn't confident

I agree his ankle was bothering him. I never said it wasn't. But that
King of Hokies 01/04/26 05:35 PM ET
Clearly best with both on the court and as Hammond plays starters

Most coaches would disagree. Most coaches want to get off to the best
King of Hokies 01/04/26 05:44 PM ET
I would argue his energy off the bench jump starts things

Hammond is our Energizer Bunny!**
RJHokie 01/04/26 05:58 PM ET
agree his ankle was the issue in the game

Meh. I know you’re an analytics junkie, but momentum matters

Hindsight is 20/20 but it definitely hurt yesterday

He played more than 2 of Wake's starters...
GCHokie34 01/04/26 10:39 AM ET
Yeah, this is a good point. Wake's ball-screen defense on Avdalas
David CunninghamAdmin 01/04/26 03:16 PM ET
Uh, no. When Neo is on the wing the actions are different, and thus the
King of Hokies 01/04/26 03:58 PM ET
The actions arent different and how teams defend him arent different
GCHokie34 01/04/26 04:20 PM ET
The actions from the wing off the ball certainly are different. **
King of Hokies 01/04/26 05:33 PM ET
Not for Avdalas, and not in MYs system...they all do the same things
GCHokie34 01/04/26 06:01 PM ET
The question is why not start Hammond with those two…not in place
VTBB 01/04/26 11:24 AM ET
The injuries do not effect Hammond's minutes...
GCHokie34 01/04/26 11:46 AM ET
And CMY has spoken to the notion of starter vs. bench [What you wrote, BTW]**
TomTurkey 01/04/26 11:12 AM ET
Yeah, I think at one point Neo had a +/- of -35 ( or close to that)…
VTKev80 01/04/26 09:54 AM ET
Candidly the last few games Neo has hurt his stock. Offense is too slow**
