You may not have noticed but the rules changed a few years ago

The NCAA tournament allotment is now decided during the OOC season. After conference play, teams are just playing for seeding within that allotment. So, early impressions mean a lot more now than they did even 3 years ago. It isn't fair, but that is the way it is now. So, VT has to do well over the next 5 games. Once that early impression has been established it will be very difficult to climb the computer polls once ACC play begins. ** Edited by VT ChemE 1986 at 11/20/2025, 11:40:31 AM
