Oh I agree their relationship had a lot of other issues. I guess I see

the scheduling conflict as being more a petty issue and not as serious as Weaver apparently though it was at the time. It probably was a good decision to get out of coaching, but I can't say for sure since I didn't know him well enough. He always struck me as having a "New Yorker vibe" about him which can rub a lot of people the wrong way. However, in the right setting it could be a nothingburger.
