Someone tell me the last time a redshirt year worked out to help VT

It personally worked out (was needed) for Wessler but it didn't help us develop him and get old IMO. Buchanan, Ryan Jones, of late. The only kids that will redshirt and stay are role players then they leave for PT to a lower level.
