I imagine you changed jobs. The issue i have with your points are two wrongs don’t make a right, it is still just two wrongs. Yes coaches have clearly had the better position and have screwed over players. Now players are doing the same. Both aren’t good. And players still need to get paid! I agree the timing was poor and I was as pissed as you were yesterday. But seeing how tore up Bennett was at knowing he isn’t it anymore changed my mind entirely. He wants to be a coach and not a GM. Of course he profited. Hes a damn national championship coach at a school that had one era because a local kid happened to be 7’3. 40 years ago. Ultimately it comes down to a simple opinion. Bennett thought the timing was acceptable because the greatest wrong was not giving 100% to a staff and players he is obligated to give 100% to. Others feel he quit just by removing his presence. Both sides are right. But given what Bennett feels, how hurt and drained he is by acknowledging the program he has run can’t work anymore, and acknowledging those in his own locker room could do better. I applaud that.
