They won 18 games with a depleted roster playing a Top 30 schedule...

That's the 91st percentile in the whole nation in strength of schedule. On what planet is that grounds for "knowing you won't be very good"? You play who gives you the best chance of winning. Jaydon Young is at the end of his freshman season and he committed a very dumb error at the end of the half that cost VT a bucket. And your solution for being better is to play him more? If Rodney Rice had left in the Spring then VT would have been able to replace him while offering someone in the portal starter/rotational minutes. If Long didn't get hurt for the final 13 games of the year, then VT would have been 9 deep, just like what you're asking. And that's without Young or Rechsteiner
