You're constantly weighing age vs draftability
It doesnt matter that Pasha is 20+ because he isnt draftable.
But for Avdalas, getting to age 20 without moving on becomes a hindrance.
If Avdalas had played in the US at age 18 then he likely would have been drafted in the first round last year. He was a reserve among fully grown men. So he needed to showcase his ability as a focal point.
He has very clearly shown what he needed to show to be drafted. People are refusing to see it (or maybe they dont have the capacity to see it), some Im sure are for sheer selfish reasons as theyd like to see him back.
It doesnt make sense to Avdalas for him to come back. He is fighting father time and his ability to get to a 2nd NBA contract.
It doesnt make sense for VT to have him come back, because if VT has the money needed to make him turn down the NBA then they need to spread it across 3 or more players.
People should just cheer for the kid and wish him well. It's insane that some (not saying you) need to diminish his ability because they feel its the only way for it to be a positive for the school they root for
