I don't disagree with your point for a lot of people. But I'd argue that is

more about the experience than the performance. Even during good games, the student section is cleared out after halftime for most games. If the record actually was the driver people would stay and invest. They love the environment, sandman, etc. but it's more about hanging with their friends and having fun that winning. And I do think that is a more new phenomenon in the past 10-20 years than it ever was before. I observe it with my own kids. So you're right - you need to be on TikTok, it's just I don't think they care about the plays so much as the environment. Of course with awful records the environment will change, but even if we don't complete with UGA, AL, etc. going to a VT game will always be fun because our alumni, fans, etc. care to make it an experience that they enjoy just as much as the outcome of the game. In that way VT is very lucky - like Nebraska and other places
