"Fair" is a term of relativity. What's "fair" for one group is rarely fair

for another. I'm ok with saying that there has never been a "fair" human system for the entire existence of mankind. Canceling minor sports to support the money maker is the "fair" thing to help football succeed in this competitive environment. Failing to supply those resources, while expecting them to win and support the entire athletic program, is not "fair" to football. Likewise, it's not fair to water polo players and skiers and men's lacrosse and on and on and on that VT doesn't support varsity sports for them and supply scholarship opportunities. Basically, life is not fair. The sooner you accept that fact the sooner you can maybe make a rational argument for the things you think should occur or not occur.
