I think his playing time will depend on how quickly he picks up VT's system

We've seen super-talented young players (Bamisile, Maddox 1st year) not get much playing time because they hadn't learned both the offensive and defensive systems that Coach Young runs. I think that Nickel is very talented offensively. I would love for him to get a lot of minutes this year, because that likely means he picked up Coach Young's O and D systems quickly.
