Who said they .......

were looking for a bargain or a diamond in the rough? Hiring a coach is about more than money. Money only determines how big the bust might be perceived as should the hire fail. It is about a lot of things fit, philosophy, etc.. What a player does after they leave is not necessarily on the coach and likely much more about the new situation and opportunity. Losing is frustrating and the way VT has lost this year only adds to the frustration. Decisions made on emotion and frustration often prove unwise. VT has to take a realistic and balanced look at where they are, where they want to go and what kind of commitment and resources are required. Your assessment of this year demonstrates your emotion and frustration but, I am not sure it accurately considers the realities that were dealt with as the season has worn on. ** Edited by 2hhoop3 at 2/19/2026, 3:26:28 PM
