better. You don't get ripped off by the phone companies or get *****d and nickle-and-dimed by IT companies that have the government in their pocket. Unless you're getting some very complicated medical procedure, most common treatments are much cheaper overseas and you don't have to wait forever like in the US. America got sold down the river a long time ago. The places that are nice are getting so overcrowded because people from the crappier parts that are moving there that they are declining. Lockdowns, debt, needless tyrannical surveillance state, failed schools, crowded roads and crime. A lot of people that come here, do so to make money and then become passport bros, to go spend that money elsewhere. Some of this is simply that the dollar is still somewhat strong and the rest of world hasn't rebounded as much since 2008 and that makes our prices seem higher. America in 2023 seems like a slice of hell compared to the quality of life in 2003, 1993 or especially 1984. I spend a lot of time overseas and also speak to a lot of people that go abroad, or have one foot out the door and there is a lot of agreement on this view. America is a pretty bad deal in a lot of ways. If you work for a large corporation or bought real estate a long time ago before it appreciated then you might be in a decent position.
