Only justification for him being this great coach is steeped in “VT can’t be that good at basketball” excuses. Great first two, back half of his third year, but he really dropped the ball with how we fell apart those next two NIT teams, and this year he couldn’t get his team to finish games once it hit Jan and conference play ramped up.
