I think those articles/sites are referring to total spending (budget

wise) for those sports. Their actual operating budget of staff salaries, recruiting, travel, etc. of those sports. That has to be what they are speaking about. Not NIL dollars. If the articles aren't talking about that, the Football dollar amount alone discredits the site/article. But I am pretty sure they must be talking about operating expenses.
