We still have too few players who can go toe to toe with other good ACC level players as far and quick hands, long arms and quick feet. Players who can stop a drive, create a turnover. Take those attributes add a locked in mindset then the type player VT has historically get are at a disadvantage. Those kind of defenders shut down the catch and shoot guys, even good ones. And the catch and shoot types are really at a disadvantage trying to guard the quick first step guys. Just an opinion but to me anytime most any team presses us our efficiency goes way down. Hammond seems to be the one who can constantly beat that kind of defense.
