I agree with the freshman comment. But, Neo is not an ordinary freshman. He has pro experience and should be more mature than a typical freshman. He supposedly was good enough to go in the 2nd round of the NBA draft last year and predicted to be a first round pick after one college year. At this point, he is not meeting those expectations. He also got off to a strong start and has significantly underperformed in 10 ACC games. Other players have maintained their level or gotten better. I am still glad we have him, hope he stays another year. But, the disappointment expressed is vs. expectations and the way he was sold to fans. If he had maintained close to his level in ACC games, we would be near the top of the league and a lock for the NCAA. It doesn't mean he can't become better.
