So have a lot of other schools from smaller conferences. You might want to come down off the pedestal you think VT deserves just because we’re in the ACC. You earn respect you aren’t gifted respect. We’ve not beaten VCU nearly enough to consider them inferior. I don’t care what conference either team plays in. I recall having a similar conversation on this board about ODU football. There were a number of our fans who swore ODU would never ever beat VT in football. I laughed at that foolish thought because I knew ODU would win sooner or later. Sadly, they’ve done even better than I thought. When you start believing you’re better than other schools or conferences based on nothing other than we’re larger, have more money & play in a so called Power 5 Conference, you’re setting yourself up for failure. Especially in Basketball because there are only 5 players on a court per team at one time & because VT has never proven they can consistently beat such schools.
