Apparently some schools are very reluctant to spend for fball, but do for

bball? That has to the be the conclusion. You'd think that schools would take a more balanced approach than they do. I completely understand this for Wake and Duke. I would think that a bigger school like VT would have the pot split somewhat evenly. A lot of schools have better funding than VT, but it seems like when it comes to getting talent, VT football is executing a lot better than basketball. VT seems to be getting some good bball players, so maybe it isn't as bad as it seems. It just seems that if you can run a decent football NIL, you should be able to run a better basketball NIL than we are. Its either that usual management shortcomings that have been going on for over a decade, or it is robbing Peter to pay Paul, since this is such a critical time for fielding a decent football team, due to realignment. I'd rather see VT axe salaries on non-rev sports to get basketball elevated.
