He played there during their most successful run of the modern era and learned from a guy (Pitino) who, despite the sleaze, is an excellent coach. And from a X's and O's perspective, he'll be the best head whistle they've had since Tubby Smith. His ceiling may not be as high as Cal's, but his floor is much higher. I would look for far fewer NBA lottery picks coming from the program, but also fewer upset losses in the Big Dance.
