It really isn't even "NIL Agents" as much as players talking to coaches..

...about their friends and AAU and HS coaches reaching out to say "hey, if this guy is in the portal, would you all be interested and what would he be getting?" My experience is that many of the "NIL Agents" are low rent agents trying to scam kids off of too high of a take on deals that they had little to nothing to do with. There are definitely legitimate agents working with high level prospects but a lot of the people in that space right now are worthless.
