Coach is perfect for a middle of a road team. Coach can coach up a bunch of average guys, break even, get a special win, have an embarrassing loss. This is what we have...and my bet under CMY that what we get and Whit is ok with it. The VT program has alot of projects. Program does not sign starting big body players that have game. We need a bunch of 6-9 tight end types to hunker around and attack the boards. Looks like the staff recruits projects and hopes they work out. Whereas look at many programs in the SEC/ACC these programs involve pulling up their sleeves, go into the depth of AAU, and get players, who can play bal and using NIL options to help out. A prime recruiting base should be DMV, but I heard during CMY interview, that 1) didn't even know the name of the DC arena where the ACC tourney is playing. Further, he only played there 1 time -during Wofford tenure. He mentioned he 'don't get up there much. Kinda says alot. I think the program is modeled to be the middle of the pack...…( a good place holder between football and spring football)
