That is my point......

could it be retention was MJ's own personal issue? If he never intended to stay very long was it wise to think the kids he recruited would? Seems to me that in a system like CMY runs retention and development are even more important. Maybe the kids VT has lost are just the nature of today's game but, when you lose kids, likely to be contributors, on a regular basis the question at least has to be asked as to whether there is anything different that could be done. I think it gets old to bemoan short rosters and talent deficiencies year after year and look at former VT kids contributing elsewhere. I like CMY and think he is a great fit, I asked the original question and will ask you now in a little different manner, is there anything you see that VT should/could be doing differently to improve player retention.
