It's disrespectful to any player in their last year. Try attracting Grad transfers if you show you're willing to do that mid season when things aren't going well. 1. It advocates moving Kidd from 5 to 4. Kidd is a 5 in this system - not a 4. Moving him takes him away from what he does best (score in the low post), and ask him to do thing he's not good at (make passing plays and stretching the floor with shooting range). On defense, playing 4 asks him to play more perimeter defense - also not his strength. 2. It advocates having your two worst post help defenders start and play together (Poteat and Kidd), as well as add more of Wessler to the post defensive mix, which won't make it better. 3. It advocates playing Long out of position at the 3. As much as I'd like to see him and Beran on the court together for defense, I think you only play Long significant minutes at the 3 if Collins continues to miss shots (BTW, he was 4-8 on Sat.) or Nickel doesn't make any progress on defense. Long does everything well except shoot the ball - in this system both Wings need to be able to shoot the ball.
