I attended in 1970-72 and then went on to VT. The athletes were all mainstreamed into the very small student population so we got to know most of them. Many were on their way to the Big Ten, ACC and other top conferences and independents. I'll never forget the Saturday night I was in a dorm room chilling out drinking a few beers when the news spread that the Marshall team plane had gone down. Two players in the room had teammates from the previous season that were on that plane.
