I do too...but these posts always seem to imply that we wish today's

players were somehow selfless enough to live by the rules of the old system in the name of loyalty, which schools have rarely showed them in return. I'm not talking about your loyalty to them as a fan, I'm talking about how programs actually work. The Gurdak situation is frustrating as hell to me because he's exactly the kind of guy we would have loved to watch grow and develop and turn into a force over his four years ...and then remember fondly and welcome back as a great Hokie. But it's not his fault the system doesn't reward that anymore and he shouldn't be expected to overcome that for our approval, especially when his own future is on the line.
