what does not playing at an early age have to do with some of the decisions he makes? Unless I'm mistaken he's been playing since he was 14-15 years old, receiving above average coaching.
Look at Neo...he's been playing PROFESSIONALLY since he was 14 and he makes some of the same mistakes Tobi does. When you start playing has no definitive bearing on whether your basketball IQ will be improved.
Hakeem Olajuwon didn't started playing basketball until he was 15 and look how he turned out.
If anything you might be better off not playing at a early age because you don't have to un-learn bad habits, etc.
