First in practice with no one covering him, second once he starts making those with someone covering him, then keep the eyes open, but visualizing it in his mind before the shot. Before you know it, he will focus on the feel of a good shot, and wonder why it was ever a problem. PS For golfers that have the yips for putting, start close to the hole and practice closing your eyes on putts, once you get the feel and are making them, back up and do it again. I borrowed the first part of this phrase from a Marine, but this is all to “shut down your brain, and just feel it!”
